Bar code labels

Symbology:

Codabar - Typically are 12-14 digits, The first digit indicates patron(2) or item(3) or textbooks(1 or 4); next four digits are the library identification number, remaining digits are sequential numbers followed by a check digit.

Code 39 - Alpha numeric bar code accomodates any number of digits, usually less than ten. Recognized by the bar code pattern beginning on the left with a thin black bar - fat white space - thin black bar - thin white space - the code will then vary based on the numbers used.

We print bar code labels in-house, on paper and polyester materials using a high-end thermal transfer bar code printer designed to produce top quality bar codes. We can also source laminated, digital, or specialty labels, if that is your preference.
In-house orders can be shipped within a few days of receiving the order, but please allow up to four weeks for delivery of out-sourced labels.

Economy - Standard thermal transfer paper material, recommended for use with clear mylar label protectors
Premium - good quality thermal transfer polyester labels
Laminated - high quality paper labels with a gloss or matte laminated coating
Digitek - best quality digitally composed labels with gloss or matte laminated coating

At Legacy Library Services , a ll of our thermal transfer bar code labels are printed on the high end Sato CL612 Thermal Transfer Bar Code Printer.
We can print any bar code symbology, including Codabar and Code 39 which are most commonly used in libraries.

Label Format:

Single Labels - 2” wide by .75” high, with rounded corners
2-Part Labels - 2” wide x .75” high, with an additional .25” high strip for the human readable number only, for placing inside the book or on a shelf list (also with rounded corners)
Duplicate Labels - Two identical labels, 2" wide x .75" high, providing a scannable second label
